House in Tamahere

Hamilton, Waikato

This house operates as a device, steering light and daily activity through its ‘wings’. Positioned on-site to maximise sun, the sawtooth roof-scape filters its tonal variations into the living spaces below. Its geometry in plan is an explorative study of social and private space within the family home. The edges of which, curate and frame views of the surrounding gully landscapes.
